INTERESTED IN MORE “HOW TO” INVESTMENT INFO PLUS MY NOT ALWAYS POLITICALLY CORRECT RUMINATIONS ABOUT THE MARKET?
I have set up a blog to share my market analysis & insights -- and to sometimes blow off steam when something stupid (or brilliant) catches my eye. You can post comments and voice your opinion uncensored. Take a look:

This is another free service, so spread the word to your friends.

DOW 10,000 -- A GLASS CEILIING?
As widely anticipated and hoped for, the Dow crossed its 10,000 milestone mark on Wednesday for the first time in a year. All major indexes followed the path to higher ground and closed up for the second week in a row.
The 10,000 level by itself does not mean anything other than that it may give a psychological boost to the bulls. On the other hand, reaching mile stone numbers has often (temporarily) rebuffed further advances by acting as a glass ceiling and giving the bears the upper hand. Only time will tell if we can clearly pierce through this level and use it as a support for further rallies. Given how far this market has come since March 09, supported by predominantly government stimulus, the long-term odds may very well favor the bearish crowd.
Our Trend Tracking Indexes (TTIs) headed north as well and have risen above their long-term trend lines by the following percentages:
Domestic TTI: +9.23%
International TTI: +16.51%
Hedge TTI: +2.73%
Next week, earnings season will continue with full force with 750 companies reporting. Several economic reports on housing will have the potential to move the markets in either direction. The Fed's Beige Book report on the view of the economy will unlikely have any effect on market direction.
I am enjoying my stay with family in Hamburg, Germany despite the near freezing temperatures in the morning. At least, during the day, it warms up to a balmy 50 degrees.
Have a great week.
